TUITION AND PAYMENTS PLANS

Tuition at THE AMERICAN UNIVERSITY OF HIGHER EDUCATION FOUNDATION is based on a cost per unit of credit. Associate, Bachelor, and Master’s courses are typically 3 semester units. Doctoral courses may be 2, 3, or 4 semester units. After evaluation, students will receive an enrollment agreement detailing the total tuition fees for all degree requirements.

Additional Financial Resources

THE AU’s degree programs are approved to allow the payment of educational assistance benefits to veterans and other eligible persons under the programs administered by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Please visit our Veterans page for more information on using your VA benefits.

Employer Reimbursement

Many THE AU students have received employer’s reimbursement for tuition expenses. Contact your employer to see if you are eligible for financial educational assistance.

  • Tuition at THE AMERICAN UNIVERSITY is based on a cost per unit of credit.
  • Textbooks are not included in tuition fees, but are available from the University’s Rental Library at a nominal cost.
  • Students are not permitted to enroll in a single course at this time.
  • Students outside the contiguous U.S. (includes AK, AS, FM, GU, HI, MH, MP, PR, PW, and U.S. VI) may only receive coursework and grades electronically.
