Presents the application of quantitative methods utilized by public health professionals in order to solve health-based problems. Students study the use of probability, descriptive statistics, inferential statistics, and nonparametric tests as they pertain to health research. Students also study the fundamental concepts of biostatistics as it applies to peer-reviewed, public health publications.
