Reviews the conceptual foundations of health law, ethics and human rights, and issues relating to these fields. Topics covered include how government public health policy can conflict with the rights of individuals and businesses.

  2. Discuss the current major areas of concern as they relate to legal and ethical issues in public health.
  3. Identify health law and ethical principles that apply to public health concerns.
  4. Distinguish among the roles and responsibilities of public health agencies and governmental agencies.
